ABOUT BCRT

Founded in 2006, the BCRT is a German translational centre focused on regenerative medicine. Its partners are the Charité, one of Europe's largest university hospitals, and the Helmholtz Association Germany's largest research association. BCRT largest financial supporter is the German ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). BCRT has premises in Berlin (http://bcrt.charite.de/) and Brandenburg (http://www.hzg.de/institute/polymer_research/structure/teltow/pbz/index.html.en).

BCRT’s scientific and clinical focus is on delivering new therapies for immunological, cardio-vascular and musculoskeletal diseases. BCRT scientists and clinicians are internationally recognized and entertain numerous international collaborations. BCRT is well embedded in its region as it has already integrated interactions with 15 regional institutions in the field of regenerative medicine.

WHY WE JOIN TERM

We see the TERM project as an opportunity for the BCRT to facilitate European collaborations. Our goal is to develop strategies on how to use the resources of the different regions more synergistically and effectively. Our  focus is to develop joint projects with high translational potential and to acquire the funding opportunities that allow us to bring those new solutions to our patients.
