ABOUT FONDAZIONE CENTRO SAN RAFFAELE DEL MONTE TABOR
San Raffaele is made-up of three bodies: the Hospital and Research Institute, within Fondazione, and the University, acting as an independent body.
4,000 employees, 631mln€ turnover in 2009, 30,000 people on site everyday, 60,000 patients , 8mln lab tests per year.
The Hospital covers, by 12 Departments, all the clinical disciplines. The Research Institute, by 6 Divisions, is one of the European leading centers in Gene Therapy, Regenerative Medicine, Stem Cells and Neuroscience. The Institute has a 45 patent families portfolio, and collaborates with all the key-actors of the pharma and biotech sector/market, and is very active in clinical trials management.
WHY WE JOIN TERM
San Raffaele joint the TERM Consortium for bringing its experience and excellence in the generation of added value in Regenerative Medicine, and in all the other innovative breakthrough research pipelines. Moreover, San Raffaele is aimed to bring into the consortium its pluriennal experience in technology transfer activities related to basic and translational research.
